I got myself… er, the kids!… a bunch of glow in the dark polymer clay to use for upcoming polymer clay classes and went out to look for ideas. We’ll be doing something Halloween themed for the October class but it occurs to me glow in the dark would be great for the spacey mobile project I do with the kids in the spring space unit. RainbowFox, of Instructables, has a project using GITD clay to embellish a switchplate cover which is a great idea.
Totally jazzed about Glow In The Dark? Check out this page on the Blue Bottle Tree for a ton more info and some good ideas on what to do with it.

I actually did use the glow in the dark clay with a sutton slice piece, on navy blue clay. I’m not sure why I really didn’t expect any ‘glow’, but it did! And after I turned out the lights in my craft area, there was the rest of the package, glowing happily on my desk. And then I discovered that some of the scraps were glowing in my scrap jar…! Forget the kids, grab some of this clay and PLAY!

Excellent! I’m happy to hear that. I’ve got a fair amount to doodle around with now – the benefits of buying for a store – so we’ll see how it goes!
