A resolution for my clayful New Year is to use my scrap clay – and I have a lot of scrap clay – more productively. Like a lot of people, I make swirls from my scraps. If you haven’t tried this, you should. It takes a little practice to get the knack but the effect is super and with some thought, you can make great colour combos. I got started with Desiree’s tutorial.
This forum post describes a way to make a great fabric like clay sheet to start us off.

Love those swirls! They would make cute buttons!

I’ve turned them into buttons before. They make good “one of a kind” buttons but I can never get sizes and patterns to be consistent for a whole set of ’em!
