Tutorial: Using Clay in Dimensional Art

March 10, by Elaine Robitaille. 2 Comments

Kristi of Addicted2Decorating used a little polymer clay and a weathered piece of wood to make a piece of art. She crafted white flowers for her work. In the tutorial she talks about using spray paint and hot glue and that worries me a little (having had product issues with clay and sprays and clay and hot glue) but there are alternatives to those so the idea still works! I like the idea of a repeated element, en masse, on an attractive but simple backdrop.

And the DIY wood and wall art bits were downright useful – not the stuff I know a darn thing about.

Great piece of art from small beginnings. Wood has its own essence/spirit. Add a creative human being and you have a piece as lovely as the one you have produced.
