I often end up borrowing from cake decorating tutorials to get the inspiration for simple clay sculpts and this one was particularly perfect. This colourful tutorial for decorative Easter chicks comes by way of Monika from Germany. The tutorial is in German but if the pictures don’t tell you everything try this translation (thanks Google!). This is a bright and cheery alternative to the plethora of little pastel peeps going around.

Because the actual tutorial is for a fondant decoration and I’m aiming to do it in clay, obviously mine would need baking. I’d probably also use my clay dedicated tools.
