Last year I posted on reducing fingerprints on your finished polymer clay work. To which someone pointed out, why not just wear gloves?Â
Well, I hate to work with gloves on while I’m making beads. But during my busy season last year I was desperate to cut down on my sanding and buffing time. I tried the gloves, but only to roll out and smooth my beads one last time and to poke the holes before they bake.Â
AH HA! Gloves are only one for a short time, I still feel like I got my hands in the clay and now I only have to do a light buff and the occasional sanding of a sharp edge. This requires working in an assembly line like fashion, doing the final rolling all at one time.

You may also want to try finger cots, they are sold in most pharmacies and are just like the gloves, only they go over just the finger tips.
I dust/ rub everything with cornstarch, really helps
I live in a very small country, no extruder guns, proper blades and glazes here but we do have an outrageously expensive steadtler store with very limited selection of fimo. I have to improvise a lot so I remove fingertips by rubbing my creations with a wet cotton bud before baking.
