Okay, not rings for your fingers – although the same technique, scaled down to finger size would work just fine – but napkin rings done in a clean, modern sort of way. The tutorial, by Molly of Almost Makes Perfect, uses a paint wash for the decoration which just reminds me I should buy myself some more paints to play around with… the box of half used, partially dried craft paints just beg for some craft store shopping.
Ahem.
Because the tutorial is aiming for a faux ceramic, washed paint look the white or pale coloured base clay becomes important. If you’re going to use a scrap clay or dark clay base, be prepared to do a base layer of paint or for some different, perhaps cooler, results.
