I’m not sure if the fidget spinner plague has hit where you are but they showed up here a while back and they’re still being fidgeted with. I told my partner I needed to make one out of polymer clay (why not?) and then I went to see what folks on the Internet had done.
Turns out, lots of bright crafty folks have made polymer clay fidget spinners including this little kawaii version that uses jump rings to make little fake bearings. You could do the tutorial with regular bearings if your hardware store hasn’t sold out of them yet and your toolbox doesn’t have a stack of them… but if you’re late to the craze you may run into that issue.
One of the comments on the video mentions using bigger rings for a larger spinner and I think that would be perfect. You could use half inch split ring findings to create a sturdier sized spinner working on the same principle.

Learn Polymer Clay says
My son would love one like this. We’ve already tried to make one using polymer clay, but it didn’t work. I think we should try this idea:)
