I love projects that use in their mixed media. Polymer clay makes great, quick holders – bodies, containers, little shapes – in a prototyping sort of way. This pincushion owl is a perfect example. The body is a simple piece, shaped from clay (air dry or oven bake would work) with a cavity to attach the cushion part. If you wanted a more precise body shape, use a cookie cutter in the same size to cut out layers. Use a smaller, circular, cutter to cut out the tummy shape from the top few layers.
