I’m not sure about the dads in your world but I smiled a little when I imagined what would be stuck into clay for the “dad” in my house – my partner – and thinking he’d be concerned if I stuck a microchip and a car key into clay. Still, this key fob is a good project to personalize for the dads of the world.
The tutorial says it uses resin clay which is air drying clay. Polymer clay would be the same deal with the caveat that whatever you stick in it needs to be oven proof. That’s mostly everything but it’s worth noting. And you could do this a little larger – maybe use a water glass or a cookie cutter – to punch a shape out of clay and make your piece into a dad’s day plaque of sorts.
