I’ve had small – and now not so small – hands helping me almost from my first day with clay. She’s always used what I’ve had and made similar projects to what I’ve made. In fact, this has been the first year I’ve actually purposefully made projects geared to children so that I could teach classes for the shorter set. And I went looking around at all the goodies aimed at and made for the polymer clay using kids. Here’s a few:
- The tiny sweet earrings above can be found in TheBlackstarBoutique
- MelaniesCraft has some adorable, girly ornaments like this unicorn
- Analiese gives you the perfect way to capture a favourite photograph or piece of artwork on a polymer clay pendant
- Polymer Clay Express has a page of good kid stuff
- MunroCrafts has Cloud Clay, a fun air dry clay we tried with kids this fall
- Looking for air-drying clay? We highly recommend Das Air dry clay, we have been using this product for over 30 years. Check out their Das White Air drying clay and their Terracotta Air drying clay version for a natural pottery feel. For larger crafts we recommend buying your air drying clay in bulk

These are adorable. Definitely add to my make list, with some of your canes that I still have. YAY!!

Wow, these earrings are cute!
I had to laugh reading your post as this sounds just like me and my daughter. Whenever I sit down to make something … she is right there making something as well.
Check out what we made last weekend:
