The tutorial calls for air dry clay but go ahead and substitute oven bake (and where they talk about drying, bake the pot). The facets can be cleaned up to be sharper / cleaner with a good sharp knife and a little sandpaper after it’s cured. One of the tips she has in the tutorial, about leaving a facet particularly large so you can lean the pot that way, is pretty smart.
Make yourself a little row of faceted pots for the bits and bobs at your desk. Or do it from oven bake clay and use your pots for succulents. Even with the air dry clay, you can use your pot for her faux cactus pincushion which sounds pretty adorable. The tutorial for that is linked right in the one for the pot.
