Anna Spathari, from Journey Into Creativity, sent along her tutorial / experiment(English translation) with air dry clay, texture and turquoise-blue paint washes. The end result are some lovely tiles in that classic blue and white combo that evokes Greek, Chinese or Dutch blue and white ceramic or tile work. At the end of the tutorial she asks what she should do with the resulting tiles. As they’re air dry clay, they’ll have to stay decorative in nature but they’d make lovely pendants with a good, sturdy lacquer applied or fridge magnets or a simple wall decoration.
If you’d like to share a clay project – oven bake polymer clay, air dry or ceramic – please do! CraftGossip has a form to use for that and I like to hear from folks.
