The nice folks from CraftFoxes sent me a link to their spooky forest sticks. I know there’s always a debate about clay having contact with food but I’m in the camp that brief decorative contact (like cake toppers or these sticks) is probably pretty harmless.
One thing to note is that the clay in the tutorial is paper clay and the crafter painted it. You could use a little paint to colour your air dry clay or use a coloured air dry clay like Makins or use oven bake polymer clay in brown. I’d probably go with oven bake since I have tons of it but I’d probably still add paint details for the eyes and to highlight the whorls on the wood. And yes, you can bake the floral tape and cardstock without issue.
Either way, these are freaking adorable.
