Mokume Gane is a great technique for using layers of colours and embellishments like metal leaf, fancy powders or scraps of cane. This mg stack, by Iris Weiss of Polyform, is straightforward and elegant. She covers how to make beads and then a design for an effective bracelet.
Using some of the Premo Effects (mica or translucent colours) adds a little pizzazz to a basic solid colour stack. I try to always use contrasting layer colours and some sort of special colour or material for part of the stack as it adds to the effect of the mg when you cut away and the little holes or patterns are outlined neatly in the contrasting or sparkly material.
