Polymer clay lets you make great custom magnets – make a clay piece, bake and use a good, strong glue. Voila! Magnet. You can make an alphabet of letter magnets that suit your decor better than the plastic ones. Or replace the plastic ones the cat hid, like at our place. Or you can make magnets based on a theme, like this tutorial from My Cakies.
In the tutorial, they suggest a glue gun but I haven’t had luck with polymer clay and hot glue in the past. Things might have changed in the years since I last tried it but I’d recommend something like a smooth surface-specific strong glue like zap a gap, crazy glue, or E6000 Craft Glue .
