This tutorial is timely – with Easter around the corner a few egg cups might help (and if you’re like me you have a couple anyways). These ones would show off your fancy eggs even if you’re not likely to use them to use the ones you’re eating.
Although this tutorial is air dry clay based we did a similar faceting project with Christi Friesen in a class and I wrote about using Sculpey Ultralight and faceting it after it was baked roughly. I would do the same for this – make your basic shape, press the egg into it or, bake it with the egg pressed in (most plastic eggs will be fine at clay temperatures in the oven) then facet away.
