I’m at the incremental improvement stage of clay – I’m learning little things, in small increments – and that’s great. I remember when each month or week or day’s projects brought huge changes to my work and each new trick was huge. For example, when I started I could most easily find Fimo Classic and then Fimo Soft and Sculpey 3 and Premo. Finding out that I could mix these – which baked at close to the same temperature in those days – greatly expanded my clay options. I tend to bake at the higher temperature when I mix clays, unlike the video tip. Yes, that occasionally leads to some clay toasting but for the most part it works and I feel better knowing I’ve cured my work correctly.
CreativeRachy has a channel with other good clay stuff to check out, as well.
