Just like I have piles of clay and clay pieces, I have a good stash of tools of all shapes and sizes. Not the least of those are my cutters. Some of them – a couple plastic shoeboxes worth – are regular, big ones manufactured for cookie making I bet. And then there’s the little tiny ones that fall to the bottom of those huge boxes. The dozens of clay, ceramic, fondant and random ones I’ve made. Mostly they sit in a few smaller containers but if you’re more of an organizer than I am, Ginger from the BlueBottleTree has a great storage method (bonus idea for making your own cutters, too).
Pam was the first person I saw doing this years ago, on Flickr. I thought it was both clever and a great way to use up scrap clay. In the time since… I haven’t done a thing like this. My tiny cutters still live in smaller clear plastic containers.
