Sometimes, some of the oldest tutorials are the best ones. Elizabeth Campbell (aka the Poly Parrot) made a mudpile mokume gane tutorial around when I started claying on the internet. It was good because it told me I could make really fabulous mokume gane with the growing pile of mud clay I was making as I stumbled through project after project.
It’s true, too. You can make some really great mokume gane with a little metal leaf and a bit of curating your scraps.
