
Mokume Gane is one of those classic polymer clay techniques you should give a try if you clay. My favourite mg is with translucent clays and foils and a ton of sanding and polishing. As a result, I do it very infrequently. You can do ones with texture sheets and more opaque colours which need a little less in the way of sanding. Margaret Schindel has a great, detailed, post about doing mokume gane and using it to create cabochons to use in jewellery making. The photograph above is just one lovely example of her work.
