Once you’ve textured your clay, you may want to highlight it and bring out the texture. This tutorial on Parole de Pate (I’m linking to the Google translator version, the French is fine even if the English translation makes me giggle) is a straightforward one to use.
If you don’t have inks, use thinned acrylic paints, before baking. Thin it with water or with Varathane or other acrylic finish. Yes, they bake fine. I’ll be playing with this at my crafty peeps meeting later today!
The little buttons up there are just a textured button that I did a wash or stain of paint with AFTER they were baked. I’ll try the before baking followed by light sanding thing today.
