This tutorial, by Debi Beard of Debi’s Design Diary, uses air dry clay, dollar store plastic ball ornaments, good decorative paint and molds. You can use oven bake polymer clay and I’d suggest grabbing the inexpensive glass balls (which bake like a charm). The molded pieces should stick to glass balls just fine but I’d probably put a thin layer of clay on them just to make them sturdier if you went the oven bake clay route.
Then, mold, bake, paint. Neat shabby chic type ornaments.Looking for air-drying clay? We highly recommend Das Air dry clay, we have been using this product for over 30 years.
