Layl McDill wrote in to tell me about a recently finished, unique exhibition that ran from May 29 through June 15 called Polymer Clay – Gallery Style. The show ran in the Flow Art Space in St. Paul, MN and was juried by polymer clay artist Maureen Carlson and sculptor Kyle Fokkenn. Awards were given in two categories, Established and Emerging.
The recipients were:
Established
1st – Elissa Farrow-Savos, for “she felt so wrapped up in other people’s expectations”
2nd – Kathleen Dustin, for “Bursting Alium Pod”
3rd – Adam Rees, for “Eyeing You”
Honorable Mention – Kim Buell, for “green movement”
Emerging
1st – Linda Garbe, for “Box of Color”
2nd – Stephanie Etzel, for “Diary of a Firefly”
3rd – Christine Madsen, for “Home Sweet N.I.M.B.Y.”
Honorable Mention – Laura Burlis, for “Landscape”
People’s Choice Award
