Textures Treasure Hunt
January 28, 2008 |
I’ve just recently started playing around with textures in my polymer clay work. I admit to looking at every object in my house now as a possible texture tool! Mossy Owl has given a great list of texturing ideas from common objects. Do you have a favorite texturing tool? I’d love to hear about it.

Wendy White is your CraftGossip Polymer Clay Editor.
Heather,
I like random textures rather than uniform. One of my favorite textures is simply a crumpled piece of paper pressed into the clay.
Coral and seashells are my other favorites.
I buy textured sheets of paper from scrapbooking stores and cut it in strips the width of my pasta machine. There’s lots left over to share with other clayers. The sheets last a long time.
